Accident Plan Coverage

Accident Plan

UP TO $5,000 COVERAGE / YEAR

Coverage for emergency veterinary care and treatment for eligible injuries arising from an accident.

COVERAGE

$100 annual deductible
  • Coverage for emergency veterinary care for injuries arising from an accident such as consultations, exams, emergency care, hospitalization, medications, surgery, anaesthesia and specialist referrals by a licensed veterinarian

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Up to $1,000 per incident
  • Kennel boarding fees if the pet owner is hospitalized due to an accident and they cannot care for their pet
  • Holiday trip cancellation coverage if the pet requires emergency, life-saving treatment due to an accident
  • “Lost pet” advertising and reward
  • Cremation or burial costs for the pet

HOW IT WORKS

  • Pets Plus Us pays: 80% reimbursement of all veterinary fees, including taxes
  • Pet owner pays: 20% of all veterinary fees, plus an annual deductible of $100, along with their monthly premiums

Up to $7,500 or $15,000 COVERAGE / YEAR

Two levels of accident and illness coverage for your pet.

  • Illnesses, injuries and accidents, diagnosis, surgery, hospitalization, hereditary conditions, prescription medications, alternative therapies and behavioural therapies

FLEX Care

FLEX Care is an optional coverage “add-on” to Pets Plus Us Accident & Illness policies. It’s designed to help you feel confident and secure in planning your pet’s routine and seasonal care. FLEX Care provides the flexibility to supplement the coverage offered in the pet owner’s policy.

FLEX Care provides convenience and peace-of-mind, allowing pet owners to spread the cost of their pet’s routine and seasonal health care across 12 months, in preset amounts. No more large bills all at once!

COVERAGE

  • Includes annual exams, vaccines, flea and tick prevention, nail trimming, dental care, and even coverage for pre-existing conditions

HOW IT WORKS

  • Coverage is available on the policy effective date, no additional waiting periods apply
  • FLEX Care coverage is used outside the Accident & Illness policy for conditions which would otherwise not be eligible for coverage
  • The pet owner chooses the budget that works best for them, from $250 up to a maximum of $1,250 annually, in $100 increments
  • Your monthly payment is the total dollar amount selected divided into 12 equal payments
  • A non-refundable $25 administration fee will be collected upon enrollment, and at each annual policy anniversary
  • Please note that Flex Care is a one-year contract and can only be cancelled on your yearly anniversary
